Funeral services for Riley Wilson “Dub” Bailey, 84, of Leesville will be held at 10 a.m. on March 31 at Hicks First United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Greg Mortensen and Rev. Randy Harper officiating. Burial will follow in the Ebenezer
Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 2-10 p.m. on March 30 at the church.
Riley, the son of George Wilson and Bessie Mae Smith Bailey, was born on Aug. 17, 1927,
in Vernon Parish. He passed away on March 28 at his daughter’s residence in Elmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Bailey was a lifelong resident of Vernon Parish. He worked as a contractor. He loved hunting and
fishing and was a member of Hicks First United Pentecostal Church. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Rose Mary Bailey of Leesville; son, James Wilson Bailey of Leesville; daughters,
Mary Ann Newcomb of Boyce and Sabrinia Cedars of Elmer; brother, Wilford Bailey of Mississippi; eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
