Kathy D. Perkins Cardy

Funeral services for Kathy D. “Fat Cat” Perkins Cardy, 54, of Pitkin will be held at 3 p.m. on March 21 at Marlow Baptist Church with Rev. C.R. Bayham officiating. Burial will follow in the Drake Forks Cemetery in Cravens under the
direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. on March 20 until the time of service on March 21 at the church.
Kathy, the daughter of James Homer Brown and Lorene Perkins, was born
Feb. 27, 1958, in Cravens. She passed away on March 18, 2012, in Rusk, Texas. Mrs. Cardy loved music, John Wayne and was extremely outgoing.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Elvin “Sammy” Lee Perkins and Brian
Brown.
She is survived by her husband, John Cardy of Fullerton; daughters, Jennifer L. Powers of Kinder and Thelma D. Carroll of Cravens; stepsons, Bobby L. Bloodsworth, Jr., of Hineston and John M. Cardy, Jr., of DeQuincy; stepdaughters,
Marsha Kaye Bloodsworth of Clinton, Okla., Anna Wedgeworth of Merryville and Bridgette Jackson of DeRidder; brothers, Mitchell Dwayne Perkins of DeRidder and Bertis Brown of Pitkin; sisters, Eleanor Moore of Ottis, Rita Dixon of Pitkin, Patricia
Accettella of Pollock, Charlotte Thompson of Leesville, Shirley Bloodsworth of Hineston, Jeannie Boudreaux of Texas City, Texas, Michelle Merchant of Hineston and Sally Brown of Oakdale; 17 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
