Memorial services for Thomas G. “Tom” Smith, 73, of Anacoco will be held at
4 p.m. on March 3 at Labby Memorial Funeral Home. Services are under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Tom, the son of Douglas Lay Smith and Agnes Lee Merritt, was born on Oct. 14, 1938, in Castleberry, Ala. He
passed away on Feb. 19 at his residence in Anacoco. Mr. Smith was a good father and an awesome grandfather.
He is survived by his daughters, Cathy Guynes and husband, Scott of Ashburn, Va., Sonya Denman and husband, Jeff of Anacoco, Cindy
Cochran and husband Kenneth of Anacoco; brothers, Johnny Earl Smith of Pensacola, Fla. and Tommy Lynn Jones of Arkansas; sisters, Mary Lou Rink of Pensacola, Fla. and Patsy Pennington of Pensacola, Fla.; eight grandchildren, Melissa Kirkner and
husband, Eric, Michael Guynes and wife, Cheryl, Laura Clark and husband, Harley, Thomas Elder, Michelle Wanjura and fiancé, David Holliday, Tammi Stafford and husband, Jon, Brittney Welch and husband, Shawn and Kenneth Cochran, Jr., and fiancée,
Rayne Jennings; and 20 great-grandchildren.
