Alcine R. Cooper, Jr., lost his courageous battle with cancer on Feb. 25,
2012, surrounded by his loving family.
He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Mrs. Eloise B. Cooper, his grandparents, John and Charlotte Wilson, his grandparents, Levi and Phyllis Cooper and his brother-in-law, John E. Smalls,
Jr.
He leaves loving memories to his life’s mate Yvonne Peters; sons, Davon D. Cooper, Darrell D. Cooper and Joseph Peters-Cooper; daughter, Chavon D. Cooper; stepdaughter, Ti’Cierre Peters; his parents, Bishop Alcine R. Cooper, Sr.,
(Jeanette); brothers, Alvin Cooper (Dina), Larry Hines (Helena), Michael Hines, Charles Cooper (Carol), Terry Cooper (Angela); sisters, Debra Cooper-Jones (Charles), Lagwenda Cooper, Anita Hines, Gwendolyn Cooper-Furr (Marvin), Beverly Cooper, Karen
Cooper-Fisher (Richard) and Geri Hines; nephews and nieces, Darrick Cooper, Antoine Cooper (Phoenecia), Cory Cooper (Jessica), Edwin Cooper (Crystal), Richard C. Cooper (Jessica), Sasha Cooper, Reginald Cooper, Alisha Cooper, Charles CJ Jones,
Felecia Furr, LaTasha Furr, Tyron Cooper, Chantell Cooper, LaChanta Cooper, Malik Smalls, Alexia Jones and E’Jerika Hunter and a host of great nephews, nieces, friends and family.
Alcine, Jr. was a member of St. Agnes Bible Tabernacle
Church, Pastor Karen Fisher and Bibleway Outreach Church, Pastor A. Brown.
The family would like to thank UTMB of Galveston,Texas, Dr. John Cox and his team as well as the Hospice Care Team of Lake Jackson, Sue Moore, John Price, and
team.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on March 3 at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 613 Nona St. with Rev. James L. Gaither officiating. Burial will follow in Leesville Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial
Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. on March 3 until time of service at the church.
