Richard Cavel

Richard Cavel, 51, of Beaumont, Texas went to be with the Lord on Feb. 8,
2012.
He was born in Germany on the May 4, 1960, to Wilbert Mack Cavel and Marianne Superknoik Cavel.
Mr. Cavel graduated from DeRidder High School and after high school served his country by being in the Navy. He was a
seismographer and worked for Tri Angle Recourses. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbert Mack Cavel and Marianne Superknoik Cavel.
He is survived by his step-mom, Mary Cavel of Leesville; brothers, David Cavel and wife Annette of
Lawton, Okla., Michael Cavel and wife Amy of Shreveport and Bob McGraw of Leesville; sisters, Kathy McKelvey and husband Kirk of Arkansas, Christine Moreland of Brandon,Miss., Corinna Butler and husband Brian of Brandon,Miss. and Cindy Foster and
husband Marcus of Lacey, Wash., along with 14 nieces and nephews.
Richard was well liked by all who knew him. He enjoyed having fun and had an infectious smile.
Visitation will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Feb. 17 at Hixson
Funeral Home in Leesville. Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Feb. 17 in the Hixson Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Trey Henry will be officiating. Burial will follow in Pinehill Cemetery in Leesville under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of
Leesville.
