Funeral services for Janet Kay Bennett, 62, of Shreveport will be held at
10 a.m. on Feb. 16 at Simpson Baptist Church in Simpson, with Rev. Jeremy Blocker officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Island Cemetery in Simpson under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be
held from 5-8 p.m. on Feb. 15 at the funeral home and from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Feb. 16 at the church.
Janet, the daughter of A. C. and Virginia Ruth Williams Bennett, was born on Feb. 7, 1950, in Pensacola, Fla. She passed
away on Feb. 13, 2012, at LSU Medical Center in Shreveport. Ms. Bennett loved ceramics, animals and music.
She is survived by her son, Joey Vasquez of Shreveport; daughter, Ann Marie Vasquez of Shreveport; parents, A.C. & Virginia
Bennett of Simpson; brothers, Larry Bennett of Groves, Texas, John Bennett of Elmer, Texas, Shawn Wesley Bennett of Simpson and Shannon Wayne Bennett of DeRidder; sister, Deborah Bennett of Austin, Texas and two grandchildren.
