Reginald Crockett Lambright

Funeral services for Reginald Crockett Lambright will be held at 2 p.m. on
Feb. 12 in the Mt. Olive Baptist Church of Pitkin with the Revs. Huey Haymon and Larry White officiating. The United States Marine Corps will conduct
military rites. Committal service will follow in the Blue Branch Cemetery under the
guidance of White Oaks Funeral Home of Oakdale.
Reginald, 77, of Pitkin, entered eternal rest on Feb. 9, 2012 in the Grace Home of Alexandria. He was born on March 1, 1934 in Pitkin to Kirby and Beulah Johnson Lambright. He was a member of
the Mt. Olive Baptist Church serving in many capacities. He was very faithful in his commitment to the Lord. He was a sergeant in the United State Marine Corps, he coached and taught for 36 years, was athletic director and coach for nine baseball
state shampionships, and was selected to the Louisiana High School Athletic Hall of Fame. He was a graduate of Pitkin High School, attended the University of Southwestern Louisiana, was a graduate of Palo Verde Junior College in
Blythe,
Calif. and graduated from Northwestern State University. His family was the light of his life. He instilled values and integrity in his children, students, and ball players. He left a legacy of hard work, dedication, and responsibility.
His parents, Kirby Lambright and Beulah Dennis; stepfather, Lester Dennis and infant brother, Kenneth Lambright precede him in death.
He leaves behind his loving family to cherish his memory, wife of 53 years, Jeannie McKay Lambright
of Pitkin; one daughter, Debbie Lynn Roeten of Shreveport; three sons, Kevin David Lambright of Leesville, Dale Duane Lambright and wife Kathleen of Nacogdoches, Texas, and Terry Wayne Lambright and wife Amanda of Leesville;
one brother,
James E. Lambright and wife Jeanice of Pitkin; one sister, Therisa West of Pitkin; eight grandchildren, Leigh Ann Roeten Chiari and husband Fabio of Friendswood, Texas, Sarah Roeten of Coppell, Texas, Rachael Roeten of Tyler, Texas, Sarah Compton of
North Richland Hill, Texas, Tyler Compton of Nacogdoches, Texas, Emily Lambright of Nacogdoches, Texas, Hannah Lambright of Nacogdoches, Texas, and Peyton Lambright of Leesville; one great-granddaughter, Mia Chiari of Friendswood, Texas; a host of
nieces, nephews, and friends.
Pallbearers to serve will be Kevin Lambright, Dale Lambright, Terry Lambright, Scottie Lambright, Jerome Maricle, and Shad Stewart.
Friends may call from 6 till 10 p.m. today in the church and from
10 a.m. until the time of service on Sunday.
