Doris Amanda Self Eggers, 85, passed away Feb. 6, 2012, at the Carpenter
House of St. Joseph Hospice in Baton Rouge. She was a native of Leesville and a resident of Baton Rouge for 60 years. She was a loving mothers, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her life revolved around her family. When her children were young, she
was active in every area of their lives and was a great support to her husband, Preston, in his years of working with Associated General Contractors. As she became a grandmother, she continued to be a nurturing, supportive participant. Another great
love was Jefferson Baptist Church. The church became an extended and her friends in Brother French’s Sunday school class were dear, close companions. God’s timing is perfect, and in a time of need He provided a helpmate and friend, Diane Ellis. Diane
was a great support, and our family is grateful.
