Funeral service for Mrs. Faye Ellen Smith, 81 of Evans will be held at 2 p.m. on Feb. 5 at Evans Congregational Methodist Church in Evans with Rev. Phillip Jarrell and Rev. Melvin Smith officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. on
Feb. 4 until the time of service on Feb. 5 at the church in Evans.
Faye was born on Nov. 23, 1930, to Louise Hendrix Eason and Julian Marion Eason at Fisher. She had resided in Evans for the past 50 years. She was a homemaker and a member
of the Evans Congregational Methodist Church. Faye enjoyed family, church, cooking & helping others. Mrs. Smith passed away on Feb. 2, 2012 in Rosepine.
She is survived by her son, David Smith and wife Teresa of DeRidder; daughter,
Barbara Sue Smith of Evans; sister, Marjoire Bartlett of Blanchard; three grandchildren, a great-grandchild and numerous special great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Wayne Smith of Evans. Words of comfort may be
