Claude Nolen Jeane

Claude Nolen Jeane, 76, of Evans passed away on Jan. 23, 2012 in
Alexandria.
He was a member of Evans Congregational Methodist Church where he taught Sunday School. He was an insulation contractor for 40 years and was an owner/ breeder and trainer of Quarter horses since the 1960s. Both were family
owned and operated businesses. He was church first, family second and horses third.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Bessie Lea Jeane of Evans; sons, Randle Jeane and wife Tracy and Scott Jeane and wife Tamaris and Sam Jeane all of
Evans; daughters, Teresa Burgess and husband C.A. and Marilyn Jeane all of Evans; brothers, Syviel Jeane and George Jeane, both of Evans; sisters, Shirley Wilson, Von Saveil and Sylvia Smith all of Evans; grandchildren, Randy Jeane, Darrell Jeane,
Emily Jeane, Cody Bordelon, Chester Burgess, Scotty Jeane,Madison Jeane, Gregory Loftin, McKenna Loftin and Preston Jeane; great grandchildren, Isabella Jeane, Reese Jeane, Griffin Jeane, Marcus Bordelon, Gauge Bordelon, Logan Bordelon, Lucas
Bordelon and Sophia Loftin and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Emmit and Gertie Jeane; son, Jerry Lynn Jeane and grandson Bobby Bordelon
Visitation will be
held from 1 p.m. on Jan. 25 to 1 p.m. on Jan. 26 at Evans Congregational Methodist Church
in Evans. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Jan. 26 at Evans High School Gymnasium. Rev. Phillip Jarrell and Rev. Melvin Smith will
officiate. Interment will follow at Evans Cemetery.
