Funeral services for Brenda Fleming Brown, 61, of the Plainview Community
will be held at 11 a.m. on Jan. 19 at Prewitt’s Chapel Baptist Church in Hornbeck with Rev. Nick Hilton, Rev. Huey Haymon and Rev. Wiley Reid officiating. Burial will follow in the Prewitt’s Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial
Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m. on Jan. 18 in the funeral home.
On Jan. 19, the officers from the Vernon Parish Probation and Parole office will escort Brenda and her family to the Prewitt’s
Chapel Baptist Church for her funeral service.
Brenda, the daughter of Charles and Martha Fleming, was born on March 18, 1950, in El Paso, Texas. She was a very loving and devoted wife and mother; she was a longtime pianist at Prewitt’s
Chapel. Brenda worked at the Louisiana Health Science Center in Shreveport for 11 years and then for the Vernon Parish Probation and Parole office until her retirement.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Ronald E. Brown of
Plainview; son, Kevin Brown and wife Jennifer Audibert of Keithville; daughter, Tara and husband Vincent Culotta of Marrero; and two step grandchildren, Nicholas and Joshua Culottta, students at LSU-Baton Rouge.
The family has requested
that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
