Funeral services for Linda ‘Carol’ Bryan Bruce will be held at 11 a.m. on
Jan. 7 at the First United Pentecostal Church of Leesville. Reverends Mark Christian, Gary O’Neal and John C. Burns will officiate. Burial will follow at the Forest Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. on Jan. 6 and from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the church.
Carol was born on Sept. 8, 1943 in Bryceland to John Lee and Lessie Faye Bryan. Carol, a wonderful mother, grandmother,
great-grandmother and wife, passed from this life on Jan. 3, 2012.
She was a resident of Leesville for the majority of her life. She was a faithful member of the First United Pentecostal Church of Leesville and was a homemaker. Carol was
known as a second mother to many people throughout her life.
She is survived by her two daughters, Renee Roberts of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Jamie Bruce of Leesville; one daughter-in-law, Rebecca Bruce of Manila, Philippines; four
wonderful grandchildren, Anthony Roberts of Leesville, Morgan Hernandez and husband Andrew Hernandez of Oceanside, Calif., Courtney Roberts of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Lindsey Bruce of Manila, Philippines; two great-granddaughters, Brookelynn
Roberts and Annabelle Hernandez; one brother, Billy Bryan of Shreveport; one sister, Gail Slaughter of Ragley; and a wealth of extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lessie Bryan; two siblings, Faye Feazell
and Laurie Bryan; husband, Therrell Bruce; and son, Norman Bruce.
