Pearlia McConathy

Funeral services for Pearlia M. McConathy, 99, of Anacoco will be held at
10 a.m. on Jan. 5 at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville with Bro. Jack Bell and Bro. D.R. Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Mitchell Cemetery in Anacoco under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of
Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m. on Jan. 4 at the funeral home.
Pearlia, the daughter of Henry Allen and Elizabeth Sanders Martin, was born on May 24, 1912, in Anacoco. She passed away on Jan. 2, 2012, at Byrd
Regional Hospital in Leesville. Mrs. McConathy was a lifelong resident of Anacoco. She was the oldest member of Anacoco First Baptist Church. When anyone came to visit Mrs. McConathy, they were always invited you to eat with her. She loved Dorothy’s
little dog, Bubba. She also loved to can vegetables.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee McConathy and daughters, LaMurl Burns and Elizabeth Hicks.
She is survived by her daughter, Dorothy and Hyman Self of Hornbeck;
sisters, Edith Mattox and Mildred Martin, both of Anacoco; sons-in-law, Brucell L. Burns of Anacoco and Melvin Hicks of Leesville; grandchildren, Debbie and Carlos Arrambide of DeRidder, and Sheila and Randall Laugton of Leesville;
great-grandchildren, Jason and Cristalle Arrambide of Houston, Leila and Jonathon Pollard of Leesville, Shana Walker of Leesville, and Jarrett Isgitt of Leesville; and great-great-grandchild, Dreux Arrambide of Houston.
