Funeral services for James Harlis Johnson, 51, of Hutton will be held at 2 p.m. Nov. 17 at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Mora with Rev. Walters officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery in Mora under the direction of Labby
Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held Nov. 16 from 11 a.m. until the time of service Thursday at the church.
James, the son of Elbert Harlis and Florence Hillman Johnson, was born on June 5, 1960, in
Leesville. He passed away on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011, at his residence in Hutton. James was a life resident of the Leesville and Simpson area. He was a graduate of Reagan High School of Houston. He worked as a mechanic and plumber. James loved to
hunt and fish. He was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.
He is survived by his mother, Florence Johnson; brother, Jerry Lee Johnson; sister, Mary Ann Johnson, all of Hutton; four nephews and nieces, Shannon Lee Johnson and Courtney,
Crystal Gayle Johnson, and Rolaind Johnson and Casondra Ann Johnson; and two great-nieces, Sara Marie Johnson and Cheyenne Chevelle Johnson.
