Funeral services for LaMurl Burns, 79, of Anacoco, will be held at 10 a.m.
Nov. 9, at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville with Rev. D.R. Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Mitchell Cemetery in Anacoco under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation was held
from 5-9 p.m. Nov. 8, 2011, at the funeral home.
LaMurl, the daughter of Lee and Pearlie Martin McConathy, was born on March 17, 1932, in Anacoco. She passed away on Monday, Nov. 7, 2011, in Leesville. Mrs. LaMurl never said a bad word
about anyone and always had a positive attitude and a smile on her face. She loved to travel. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Anacoco.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lee McConathy and her sister, Elizabeth
Hicks.
She is survived by husband, Brucell Burns of Anacoco; mother, Pearlie McConathy of Anacoco; sister, Dorothy and Hyman Self of Hornbeck; brother-in-law, Melvin Hicks of Leesville; nieces, Debbie Arrambide and Carlos of DeRidder, and
Sheila Langton and Randell of Leesville; four great nieces and nephews; and one great great nephew.
