Betty Roberts, 70, of New Llano, passed away on October 20, 2011.
She was born in Louisville, Ky. on May 9, 1941; she was a homemaker, a loving wife and mother and grandmother, and she had a passion for drawing and painting.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Joseph and Virginia Newton of
Louisville, Ky.
She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years Jack Roberts of New Llano.; daughter: Sherry Johnson and husband Dale of Kingston, Tenn.; sons: Joey Roberts and wife Rhonda of Hicks, Tony Roberts of New Llano;
grandchildren, Jerome Johnson and wife Jessica, Steven Johnson and wife Alex, Jessica Johnson, Tiffany Johnson, Corey and Emily Roberts, Anthony and Courtney Roberts; great grandchildren, Jeremiah and Jasmine Johnson, Brookelyn Roberts, Melissa and
Urijah Johnson; sister, Shirley Crabtree and husband Robert; aunt and uncle, Dorothy and Harold; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, October 25, 2011. The service is at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October
26, 2011 Visitation and service are being held at the First Pentecostal Church in Leesville. Bro. Mark Christian will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Jerome Johnson, Anthony T. Roberts, Corey Roberts, Jeremiah Johnson, James Taylor, Phillip
Larwood and honorary pallbearer, Steven Johnson. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville.
