Gladys Mercado, 69, of New Llano passed away on Friday, Oct. 21, 2011, at St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria. Mrs. Mercado, the daughter of Ramon Diaz and Julia Perez, was born March 23, 1942 in Puerto Rico.
A
visitation for family and friends will be held on Oct. 24 from 4-8 p.m. at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville.
Mrs. Mercado is survived by her husband, Domingo Mercado of New Llano; one sister, Maria C. Gonzalez of Brooklyn, N.Y.;
three nieces; Denise Santiago of Leesville, Julie Collazo and Gladys Gonzalez, both of Brooklyn; and two great nieces, Janelle Collazo and Janeece Collazo of Brooklyn.
Burial will follow at a later date at Calvary Cemetery in New
York.
Local arrangements are under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home.
