Funeral services celebrating the life of Luther Marze, Jr., 63, will be
held 10 a.m. on Oct. 24 at Providence Road Baptist Church in Spring Ridge. Rev. Bill Banks and Rev. Chris Young will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Keithville.
Visitation will be from
3-5 p.m. Sunday at Rose-Neath South Side.
Marze passed away at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Ark. after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a resident of Huntsvillle, Ark. and a former resident of Shreveport where he retired
from the Shreveport Fire Dept. He proudly served this country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict.
He was preceded in death by his father, Luther Marze, Sr. Luther grew up in Anacoco. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife
of nearly 40 years, Elaine Hodge Marze; son, Daniel Luke Marze and his wife, Stephenie; daughter, Phaedra Marze Clemons and husband Clyde; grandchildren, Kinsley Clemons, Makenna Clemons, Colton Clemons, Hagan Marze, and Garrison Luke Marze. He is
also survived by his brothers and their spouses; Rick and Sallie Marze, Mike and Sherry Marze, Dick and Valerie Marze, and sister, Bonnie Marze Moore and her husband, Robert, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will
include Rick Marze, Mike Marze, Dick Marze, James Hodge, Larry Brown, Robert Moore and honorary pallbearer, Tom Floyd.
