LaVON NICHOLS KAY

Funeral services for LaVon Nichols
Kay, 84, of Leesville will be held at 10 a.m. on Oct. 18, at the Canaan Baptist Church in Leesville with Rev. Morris Dale Goins and Ernest Jarrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Canaan Cemetery in Leesville under the direction of Labby
Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held on Oct. 17 from 3 p.m. until the time of service on Oct. 18 at the church.
Mrs. Kay passed to her Heavenly home at Rapides Regional Hospital on Friday, October 14,
2011.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Monford Kay; her mother and father, Frankie Ferguson Nichols and Wesley Nichols; brother Melton Nichols; and her sister and brother-in-law Gwen Nichols Belton and George.
LaVon
was a devoted Christian, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She was a member of Canaan Baptist Church and served in many capacities.
She is survived by her sons, Derrel Kay and wife Nancy and Tommy Kay and
wife Miriam; daughter, Cathy Kay Craft and husband Bobby; grandsons, Randy Kay and wife Amber, Mike Kay and wife Tammy, Brad Kay and wife Cindy, Jeff Kay and wife Melissa, Clint Kay and wife Devon, Christopher Kay, Rob Craft and Crispin Craft and
wife Danielle; granddaughters, Stacy Kay Walters, and Anslea Craft Dowden and husband Raymond; great grandchildren, Josh, Sarah, Jacob, Darby, Seth, Trevor, Connor, Bethany, Katelyn, Hallie, Barrett, Lauren, Moss, Layton, Vanessa, Isaac Rylee,
Sophie, Payton, Andrew, Aven and Zachary; great great grandchildren, Lane, Marlee, Carlee, Kenlee and Carter; and a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made Canaan Cemetery
Association.
