Lucretia Ingalls

Funeral services for Lucretia Ingalls, 94, of Sieper will be held at 2 p.m.
Oct. 12 at Laurel Hill Baptist Church in Hicks with Dr. Glenn Cooley and Rev. Nat Dutton officiating. Burial will follow in the Laurel Hill Cemetery in Hicks under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation was
held from 6-10 p.m. on Oct. 11 at the church.
Lucretia, the daughter of Nicola and Maria Carlucci Mongelli, was born on March 16, 1917, in New York City. She passed away on Monday, Oct, 10, 2011, at her residence in Sieper. Mrs. Ingalls
graduated from business college and worked as a bookkeeper in the clothing industry. She married James Ingalls in New York while he served in the Navy. After his Navy service, they later moved back to his homestead in Sieper. She was a member of
Laurel Hill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her twin daughters, Rosemarie Ingalls and Gary Marler of Sieper, and Sally Ann Ingalls and Ivo Nelson of Huntsville, Texas; grandchildren, Kirk Marler and Azi Nelson and great grandchild,
Brooklyn Marler.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Nicola and Maria Carlucci Mongelli; husband of 38 years, James Mckinley Ingalls; four brothers; and six sisters.
The daughters of Mrs. Ingalls would like to express
their appreciation to the caregivers who allowed them to keep their mother at home: Tina Maricle, Georgia Miller, Laverne Nichols, Connie Ware, Stephanie Wood, Pam Sauseda, Alicia Mason and H.C.O.A. Hospice of Alexandria.
