Funeral services for Althea M. Perkins, 95, of Leesville, will be held at 3
p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville with Bro. Travis Murray officiating. Burial will follow in the Stephens Cemetery in New Llano under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 3-9 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2011, at the funeral home.
Althea, the daughter of Eddie and Amanda Daigle Mott, was born on March 16, 1916, in Edna. She passed away on Monday, Sept. 12, 2011, at The
Woodlands Health Care Center in Leesville. Mrs. Perkins worked hard at the PX at Fort Polk and at Wal Mart as a door greeter. She was a very loving wife to her husband. She loved to meet people and to go to church at Jackson Chapel.
She
was preceded in death by her husband, Wilber N. Perkins and daughter, Linda S. Owens.
She is survived by her sons, Bill and Rose Perkins of Houston and Mickey and Sandy Perkins of Anacoco; seven grandchildren; and a host of great
grandchildren.
