Funeral services for Joshua Thomas Moulton, 23, of Leesville will be held
at 3:30 p.m. Sept. 13, at Cooper Baptist Church in Leesville with Bro. Edgar Evans & Bro. Stacy Bradford officiating. Burial will follow in the Craft Cemetery on La. 1211 under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 3-10 p.m., Sept. 12, at the funeral home and on Sept. 13 from 2 p.m. until the time of service at the church.
Joshua, the son of Thomas William and Bertha Marie Lenard Moulton, was born on June 2, 1988,
in Pineville. He passed away on Sept. 8, 2011, at Lafayette General Hospital in Lafayette.
Joshua was a brilliant but simple person who had a love for life and learning. He loved going barefoot, hiking, nature and music. In his life he
never met a stranger. Joshua was a graduate of the Louisiana School for Math, Science and the Arts. He received his Masters Degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. Joshua loved math and was a mathematical wiz. He taught math at Block
High School in Jonesville and at Jonesville Junior High. He was a member of the first graduating class of the C.A.R.T. program through the Rapides Foundation.
He is survived by his parents, Thomas “Doc” and Bertha Moulton of Leesville;
siblings, Elizabeth Turner of St. Louis, Jed Moulton of St. Louis, Coulter Moulton of Leesville and James Travis Stephens of Houston; grandmother, Gladys G. Lenard of Leesville; aunt, Lisa Moore of Leesville and uncle, John Moore of Leesville and a
multitude of other friends.
