Jewel Goins Brumley

Jewel Goins Brumley, 96, was born March 15, 1915, at the foot of Eagle Hill
in Peason Ridge, located off U.S. 171 on Peason Ridge Road.
Benjamin Lee Goins and Bessie Mahaffey Goins were the proud parents of this dark-haired and dark-eyed baby girl. She grew to be tall and as sturdy as an oak tree. She was hard
working, dependable and much-loved by all who were blessed to know her.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Alvin B. Brumley; sons: Malcolm and Clarence Brumley; daughter: Kathleen Hamlin.
She is survived by sons: James E.
Brumley of Haughton, Kenneth R. Brumley and wife Betty of Keithville; daughter: Sharon Brumley Jean and husband Don of Leesville; brother: Sherwood Goins; sister: Irene Lancon; two sisters-in-law: Doris Wilson Brumley and Sandra Wilson Brumley; many
grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, August 19, 2011 at Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville. Service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 20, 2011 at Hixson Funeral Home,
Leesville. Travis Murray will be officiating. Burial will take place in Mitchell Cemetery in Anacoco, under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville.
