MYRIL W. SCOGGINS

Myril W. Scoggins, 88, of Beaumont, Texas passed away at Gulf Health Care
in Port Arthur, Texas on Aug.13, 2011. He was born in Leesville, on July 27, 1923 to the late Lawrence H. Scoggins and Mamie Elizabeth Cole Scoggins. Myril was an area resident most of his life and proudly served his country in the U. S. Army during
WWII. He was employed as an operator at Texaco and was a member of Faith Tabernacle Apostolic Church.
Myril is survived by his wife, Pauline Scoggins; son, Warren V. Scoggins and wife Wilda of Nederland; daughter, Paula Landry and husband
Craig of Corpus Christi; son, Wilton Scoggins and wife Carol of Port Neches; son, Walton Scoggins of Dallas; six grandchildren, Anthony, Caleb, Joshua, Tiffany, Wendy and Tamara; 10 great grandchildren; two brothers, Billy Scoggins and Burnell
Scoggins; and two sisters, Lanelle Johnson and Gelena Bossier.
Funeral services will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home , 1605 Avenue H, Nederland, at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, August 16, 2011, with Rev. Randy Hammer, Rev. Thomas Gibson and Rev.
C. R. Bayham, officiating. Entombment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the funeral home on Monday, August 15, from 5-8 p.m.
