Funeral services for C. V. “Chuck” Holloway, 65, of Anacoco, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, August 1, 2011, at Good Hope Baptist Church in Anacoco with Bro. Wallace Palmer and Bro. J.D. Larwood officiating. Burial will follow in the Good
Hope Cemetery in Anacoco, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m., Sunday, July 31, 2011, at the funeral home and on Monday, Aug.1 from 10 a.m. until time of service at the
church.
Chuck, the son of Edwin C. and Margaret Amelia Waters Holloway was born on April 27, 1946, in Bellaire, Ohio. He passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2011, at the Sabine Medical Center in Many. He retired from the United States Air
Force after 29 years. Mr. Holloway worked for the federal government for 39 years and retired from NASA in 2001. He loved to play golf and was a member of Cypress Bend Resort. He loved his family, gardening and being outdoors. He was a loving Paw
Paw, father and husband and never met a stranger. He loved his dog Blue who followed him everywhere.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Murna Jean Holloway; brother, Keith Holloway; half-brother, John Porter; and nephew,
David Christopher Holloway.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Kay Hale Holloway of Anacoco; daughters, Beverly Kay Cruz of Pearland, Texas and Amelia Mae Butler and husband Jim of Hasbrouck Heights, N.J.; brothers and sisters,
Beverly Palmer of Shadyside, Ohio, Edwin Holloway, Jr., St. Clairsville, Ohio, Tim Holloway of Rock Hill, S.C., Wilma Molkau of Greentown, Pa., Joe Holloway of Charlotte, N.C. and Larry Holloway of Wheeling, W.V.; grandchildren, Matthew Cruz, Austin
Cruz, Bryan Cruz, Jillian Butler and Gavin Butler.
