Funeral services for Joseph M. O’Banion, Jr. will be held at 2 p.m.
Sunday, July 24, 2011 at Hosanna Baptist Church, Ball, with Reverends Bennie Hollingsworth, Clyde Grammon and Joe Haynes officiating. Interment will be in Springhill Cemetery, Ball, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.
Mr.
O’Banion, 76, of Tioga, entered eternal rest on Thursday, July 21, 2011, at his residence. He was a native of Leesville. He was a deacon, Sunday school teacher and member of Hosanna Baptist Church of Ball. He was a retired lead mechanic for the U.S.
Postal Service after 25 years of service.
He is preceded in death by one grandchild, Donny. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Joan Smith O’Banion of Tioga; three sons, Joe O’Banion of Ava, Mo., Carl O’Banion (Toni) of Tioga
and William O’Banion (Melody) of Tioga; one daughter, Barbie O’Banion Lee (Kyung) of Houston; one brother, Chris O’Banion of Leesville; one sister, Ann Ayers of Pineville; nine grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
