Funeral services for Merle R. Brack, 80, of Leesville, will be held at 2
p.m. Saturday, July 23, at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Burns officiating. Burial will follow in the Leesville Cemetery in Leesville under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will
be held from 4-9 p.m., Friday, July 22 at the funeral home.
Merle, the son of Arthur and Rosa Caroline Brack, was born on July 29, 1930, in Leesville. He passed away on Wednesday, July 20 at Byrd Regional Hospital in Leesville.
Merle was a carpenter by trade and a U.S. Air Force veteran having served in the Korean Conflict and Japan. Merle loved fishing and hunting and sitting under the ol’ pear tree visiting with his many friends.
He was preceded in death
by his wife, Mickie; brother, Marvin Brack; and sister, Bobbie Jo Brack.
He is survived by his son, Mike Brack of Leesville; daughter Jeannie Lou Brack of Cleveland, Texas; stepdaughters, Shirley Hunt of Louisville, Miss. and Peggy Irland
of Cleveland, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
