Robert L. Finn

Robert “Bob” L. Finn, 88, of DeRidder, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2011, at his residence in DeRidder. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 11, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in DeRidder. Burial will be in Lewis
Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m. Sunday, July 10 at Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder, with a Rosary at 7 p.m.
Bob was born on Sept. 23, 1922, to Orpha Fanta Finn and James Leo Finn in Cleveland, Ohio. He was a native
of Ohio and joined the United States Army during WWII. He came to Louisiana, met and married the love of his life, Dorothy Cole; they lived in the DeRidder area where they raised their family.
Bob was employed with Boise Cascade and worked
as an iron worker and mill wright. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He served as the caretaker of Lewis Cemetery, a member of the American Legion, CASA volunteer and was very active in the Dixie
Youth Baseball Association.
Survivors include one daughter, Kathy Finn of DeRidder; three sons, Pat Finn and wife Beth of Hornbeck, Ted Finn of Alexandria and Mike Finn of DeRidder; one sister, Marion Egolf who resides in Kentucky; and ten
grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years, Dorothy Cole Finn. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.labbymemorial.com.
