William R. Griffith, Bill, as he was known by all who knew him, passed away after a short illness at Byrd Regional Hospital on July 6, 2011, at the age of 81.
Memorial services will be held at a later date in Anderson, S.C.
Services are under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
He was a native of South Carolina. This distinguished soldier and patriot retired with over 23 years of service in the U. S. Army with his final years at Fort
Polk.
He is survived by his wife Heidi Griffith; daughters, Susie Johnson and Donna Courtney; sister, Vivian Davis; and nieces and nephews.
