Funeral services for Donald D. Legg, 78, of Shreveport, will be held at 2
p.m. Saturday, June 25, 2011, at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville with Rev. Millard Monk officiating. Burial will follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery in Hicks, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation
will be held from 5-9 p.m., Friday, June 24 and from 8 a.m. until service time Saturday, June 25 at the funeral home.
Donald, the son of Lincoln and Pearlie Hayman Legg was born on August 22, 1932, in Fullerton. He passed away on Tuesday,
June 21, 2011, in Fort Worth, Texas. Mr. Legg was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He lived in Shreveport for 50 years and worked for Brewster’s Machine Shop. He was a member at Cedar Grove Masonic Lodge unit 403 in Shreveport and he loved to hunt
and fish.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ted, C.E., Lamar, and Vernon “Boots” Legg and sister, Blanche L. Hayman.
He is survived by his wife, Carrie Oouida Legg; daughter, Donna Bishop and husband Mike and
granddaughter, Brittany Nicole Panaia, all of Shreveport; brother, Robert Legg of Newton, Texas; sisters, Ella Nolen of Leesville and Gladys Monk of Hicks; and a host of nieces and nephews.
