Michael Glenn Bassett, 60, of Anacoco, passed away Friday, June 17, 2011 at his residence.
Mr. Bassett was born to William E. and Frances Cluney Bassett on May 27, 1951 in Ann Arbour, Michigan.
He was preceded in
death by his parents; one brother William Bassett; and his only son-in-law, Benny Overstreet, Sr.
He is survived by his daughter, Brandy Overstreet of Jena; two brothers, Merle and Gwen Bassett of Leesville and Randy and Debra Bassett of
Anacoco; two sisters, Linda and Sonny Nowell of Waxahachie, Texas and Barbara and Jim McLaughlin of Lancaster, Calif.; three grandchildren, Benny “B.J.” Overstreet, Kolby Overstreet and Robyn Overstreet, all of Jena; and one Great Grandchild: Sayden
Blake Richards Overstreet.
Memorial services for Mr. Bassett will be announced at a later date.
