Durward “D.G.” G. Lyons, age 87, passed away on May 13, 2011 at Shady Acres
Nursing Home in Newton, Texas.

Mr. Lyons was a member of Jackson Chapel Church of Christ and was a Shriner and a 32nd degree Mason , he also served in the United States Army during World War II.

Survivors
include his wife of 47 years Sybil A. Lyons; daughters Donna Nance and husband Dan of Leesville; Pat Johnson of Liberty ,Texas; son Gary Lyons and wife Liz of Leesviile; sister Ruth Morrison and husband, Dudley of Annacoco. He is also survived by
seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren .

He was preceded in death by his son Robert Lyons and wife Teresa.

His funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday, May 16, 2011 at Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville.
Burial will follow in Stephens Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville . The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4 p.m. until at 8PM at the funeral home and will resume on Monday at 8 a.m. till the time of
service.
