Frances Kemp Pye, 98, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 17, 2011. Frances was born January 7, 1913 in Sour Lake, Texas. She graduated from high school in Leesville in 1929.

She married her high school sweetheart Perry G. Pye of Leesville in 1931. They had one child. In 1949 the family moved to Houston, Texas where Frances resided until her death. She worked for the Spring Branch ISD for over 20 years as a
secretary. She was an active member of Tallowood Baptist Church.
Frances is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Alice Kemp and her husband Perry G. Pye. She is survived by her son Perry Gregory Pye and his wife Mary Ann, two
grandchildren Garrett G. Pye and his wife Robyn and Page Eryn Schwertner and her husband Brian and five great grandchildren, Jake, Zach, Page Pye, Douglas and Meryl Schwertner.
Friends are invited to visitation with the family from 6-8
p.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at the Hunters Creek Chapel at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77024. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 21, 2011 in The Chapel at Tallowood Baptist Church,
555 Tallowood Drive, Houston, Texas 77024. Interment to follow at Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77079.
