Vergie “Patsy” Stout, 87, of Hackett, Ark., formerly of Fort Smith, Ark., died Monday, April 18, 2011 in her home. She was a homemaker, attended the Hackett First Baptist church and was a former member of the Fleet Reserve Association.
She was preceded in death by her husband Herman E. Stout.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 21, 2011 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home Chapel with burial in U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Ark. under the direction of
Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, Ark.
She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Black of Hackett, Ark. and Terry Priest of Fort Smith, Ark.; one sister Selma Biggs and her husband Dr. Otis Biggs of Leesville; four grandchildren,
Traci Opolka and her husband, Mike of Hackett, Ark., Major Christina Krag and her husband, Thom of Madrid, Spain, Katie Priest of Fort Smith, Ark. and Darin Black of Hackett, Ark.; five great grandchildren, Chase and Sydnie Opolka, Sue Ann, Megan and
Brandon Black.
Pallbearers will be Michael, Mike and Chase Opolka, Darin Black, Wade and Garrett Bennett.
The family will visit with friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith,
Ark.
