Jose Anibal Negron

Jose Anibal Negron, born on April 17, 1928, left his loving wife of 58
years, Nelcy, to answer the Lord’s call on April 15, 2011, at the age of 82. Jose was a selfless, generous, gentle spirit totally devoted to God and his family. U.S. Army Retired Sgt. 1st Class Negron served the U.S. Army in Korea, Germany and
Vietnam during the period of 1950-1971. He was awarded the Purple Heart during combat infantry service in Vietnam. He was actively involved in St. Michael’s Catholic Church serving in many roles, including their Knights of Columbus chapter, for the
past 40 years.
He was a dedicated father, husband, brother and friend, with a host of nieces and nephews and other friends who loved and respected him. He is survived by his wife, Nelcy; children, Jose, Edwin (Lori), Jorge (Nancy) and Eric
(Monica); grandchildren, Joseph, Alisa (Chris), Chris, Jackie (Shane), Heather (Clay), Clint (Danielle) and Erin; great grandchildren, Jackson, Emerson, Austin and Tyson. He will be greatly missed.
A wake was held from 4-9 p.m. Sunday
April 17, 2011 with the Rosary at 7 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home. A Catholic Mass followed at 11 a.m. Monday April, 18, 2011 in St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Leesville. Interment followed at Rowe Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Hixson
Funeral Home Leesville.
