Melvin Gene Parady

Services for Melvin Gene Parady of LaCamp will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday,
April 6, 2011 at the LaCamp Pentecostal Church in LaCamp with Rev. Gary Floyd and Rev. Joseph Merchant officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in the LaCamp Pentecostal Cemetery under the guidance of Hixson Funeral Home of
Leesville.
Visitation will be start at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 and go until service time on Wednesday at the LaCamp Pentecost Church.
Mr. Parady, 74, died on Sunday, April 3, 2011 in Alexandria. He was a native of
Pilger, Neb. and had lived in California before joining the military. He was a Vietnam veteran and served 21 years in the U.S. Air Force. After retirement from the Air Force, he worked in the engineering division at Fort Polk and retired in 1998. He
loved to read and to travel and be with his family.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Earl Frank and Virginia King Parady.
Survivors are his wife of 53 years Shirley Rose Poe Parady of LaCamp; daughter, Connie Boswell of
LaCamp; son, Butch Parady of LaCamp; four grandsons, Derrick Boswell and wife Jennifer, Brett Parady and wife Danielle, Daryl Boswell and fiance´ Stacy Nissen, and Craig Parady and fiance´ Shelby Fiesel; great grandchildre, Evinie, Brayton, Averie,
Kadence Boswell and McKenzie Alford; and a host of nephews and nieces.
