Funeral services
for James H. Jean, 80, of Breaux Bridges, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 5 at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville with Rev. Danny Herbert and Rev. W.T. Shelton officiating. The burial will follow in the Cooper Cemetery in
Pickering. Friends visited from 2-8 p.m. Monday, April 4 and again from 8 a.m. to service time Tuesday, April 5 in the funeral home. Services are under the direction of the Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville.
Mr. Jean, the son of
James and Dessie Cooper Jean, was born December 10, 1930 in Jasper, Texas and passed away April 2 at the Lafayette General Hospital in Lafayette.
James retired as a store manager in the retail industry; he was an avid LSU sports fan, and
he was simply enthusiastic about life itself.
James was preceded in death by his parents; father and mother-in-law Donald and Ima Manning; and his son, Donnie Joe Jean.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Betty Jean, of
Breaux Bridges; two daughters, Diane Killian of Lake Charles and Nita Juneau of Breaux Bridge; seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
