Funeral services for Perry Edmond Cavanaugh, 87, of Leesville,will be held
at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2011, at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville. Burial will follow in the Castor Cemetery in Leesville, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held Wednesday,
March 30, 2011, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., and on Thursday, March 31 from noon until time of service at the funeral home.
Perry, the son of Hobby and May McManus Cavanaugh, was born on August 27, 1923, in Leesville. He passed away on Monday,
March 28, 2011, at Byrd Regional Hospital in Leesville. Mr. Perry served in the United States Army Air Corp having served in World War II as part of the European Bombing Campaign and later supported the Berlin Airlift. He was a member of the 388th
Bomb Group Association.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Mae Cavanaugh; daughter, Peggy Ann Cavanaugh; brother, Wallace McManus and sister, Iris Cavanaugh Moore.
He is survived by his children, Cheryl Cavanaugh Borders
and husband Roy of Leesville, Edward Lee Cavanaugh and wife Sheila of Monument, Colo., Ryan Cavanaugh of Springfield, Mo. and Loy Mae Arnold and husband Denny of Greely, Colo.; grandchildren, Lori Borders, Perry Borders, Tyler Arnold, Travis Arnold,
Ryan Cavanaugh, Jr., Christopher Cavanaugh, Shannon Almanzar, Kristian Cavanaugh and Jennifer Westrey and great grandchildren, Austin, Michael, Caelan, A.J., Alexandra, Jacob, Hanna and Gregory.
