Maxine Faye Downs, 51 of Natchitoches, died on Friday, March 4, 2011, at
Willis Knighton Pierremont in Shreveport.
She was born Thursday, May 21, 1959 in Nuremburg, Germany.
She was preceded in death by her parents, C.A. and Jessie Fay Guffey, and sister, CharlotteTiffany.
She is survived
by her daughter, Jennifer Martin of Haslet, Texas; sons, Michael Downs of Jefferson, Texas and James Dillon Young of Natchitoches; brother, Chuck Guffey of Fla.; grandchildren, Marvin and Brandon Downs of Jefferson, Texas; along with a host of family
and friends.
A funeral service was held at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2011 at Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. The Bishop Carroll Daniels officiated. Interment was in Many Cemetery, Many.
The family received friends
beginning at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 6, 2011, at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints until time of service.
