Rosaire Cote

Funeral Mass for Rosaire Cote, 81, of Leesville, will be held at 10 a.m.,
Thursday, March 3, 2011, at Saint Michael The Archangel Catholic Church in Leesville with the Father Clemente Mauricio officiating. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Leesville, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of
Leesville.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2011, from 4-8 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Rosaire, the son of Ovila and Bernadette Cote, was born on September 20, 1929, in Elmore,
Vermont. He passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 26, 2011, in Leesville. He served in the United States Army for 30 years and served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, camping, crossword puzzles and his dogs. Mr.
Cote loved his family and was proud of his children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Auguste Cote and William Cote; brothers, Fernand Cote, Jean Paul Cote and Renalo Cote and sisters, Lize Potuin and Suzanne
Chartier.
He is survived by his wife, Takako “Mary” Holston Cote of Leesville; sons, George Cote and wife Merrill of La Grange, Ga. and Richard Cote and wife June of Mt. Juliet, Tenn.; daughter, Rosemarie Wiegand and husband Todd of
Wyoming, Mont. He had three grandchildren: Amber, Rhiannon and Mark, and one great grandchild, Takara.
Memorial donations may be made the Humane Society or St. Michael’s Church.
