John Philip O’Malley

John Philip O’Malley, age 58, of Alvin, Texas passed away Wednesday February 23, 2011 at his residence. John was born on June 3, 1952 in Houston, Texas and was a resident of Alvin for 10 years formerly of Houston, Texas. He worked as a
supervisor for Bell Bottom Foundation and served his country in the United States Army in Germanyduring the Vietnam Era. John is preceded in death by his father, George F. O’Malley and father-in-law, Bertie Wellman.

John is
survived by his wife, Ginger O’Malley; son, Jeremy O’Malley; sisters, Janet Hoover and husband, David, Nancy O’Malley; brothers, Jeff O’Malley, Dennis O’Malley, James O’Malley and wife, Rita; 2 grandchildren, Draik Hickok, Reagan O’Malley;
sisters-in-law, Kay Wilbanks and husband, Doylan, Linda Wellman; brother-in-law, Joe Wellman and wife, Sylva; mother-in-law, Nita Wellman; special friends, Russ and Nancy Pollard; numerous other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, February 26, 2011 at Scott Funeral Home with a Memorial Service to begin at 11a.m. Arrangements under the direction of Scott Funeral Home, 1421 East Hwy. 6, Alvin, Texas 77511.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made in John’s honor to the Alvin Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 715, Alvin, Texas 77512.
