Norman Elliot “Tommy” Loftin, 94, of DeRidder, passed away on February 15, 2011 in DeRidder.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, February 17, 2011 and from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Friday, February 18,
2011 at Pentecostal Gospel Lighthouse in DeRidder.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, February 18, 2011 at the Pentecostal Gospel Lighthouse. Ministers will be the Reverends, Josh Stoneburner, James Herrington, Jeff Phillips and Ed
Tilley.
Burial will be at the Merryville Cemetery in Merryville.
Tommy was born in Evans and lived in the area all his life. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and Asiatic-Pacific Campaign and Phillipine Liberation.
He was a carpenter and built lovely cabinets. He was of the Pentecostal faith and served as an usher at Shady Grove United Pentecostal Church. At the time of his death, Tommy was a member of Pentecostal Gospel Lighthouse of DeRidder.
Survivors are: stepsons, Morris Pate, of Mittie and Edward Wileman of Rosepine; stepdaughters, Betty Spikes of DeRidder, Melva Beasley of Cleveland, Texas, Beverly Tilley and spouse Rev. Ed Tilley of DeRidder; and a host of nieces, nephews and
stepgrandchildren.
