Services honoring the life of
Charles Houston Driver were held on Sunday, February 6, 2011 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville with Rev. Les Comeaux and Bill Blackmon officiating. Burial followed in Stephens Cemetery under the direction of Hixson of
Leesville.
Mr. Driver passed away on Friday, February 4, 2011, at his residence. He was a United States Army Veteran, a supervisor with City of New Llano City Hall, a Mason, former caller for the Red Diamond Swingers, former owner of the
New Llano Plaza, Kiwanis Club President for three years, a member of VCAC, and a member of New Llano First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, D.M. and Esther Moore Driver; sisters, Dorothy Price and Yvonne Smith; and
brother, Kenneth Driver.
Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Charlotte Driver of New Llano; daughters, Cherie Pierce, Patricia Bailey and husband John of Russellville, Ark., Audrey Polczynski of Rome, Ga., Joyce Speadlin and husband
Ronnie of Biloxi, Miss., and Scharsley Hankins and husband Jerry of Arkansas; and one son, Chester Cobb and fiance’ Jennifer Reeves of Leesville; brother, Don Driver and wife Jeanette, of Odessa, Texas; 32 grandchildren; and 25 great grandchildren.
