Funeral services for James Green, 47, of New Llano, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 12, 2011 at New Willow Baptist Church in Leesville with the Rev. Harrison Fields officiating. Burial will follow in the Leesville Memorial
Cemetery in Leesville under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, February 11, 2011 at the funeral home and Saturday, February 12, 2011 from 12 p.m. until service time at
the church.
James, the son of Jimmy and Loyce Tanksley Green, was born on December 28, 1963, in Elgin, Texas. He passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 in Fort Worth, Texas. Mr. Green went to school in Killeen, Texas, Germany and
Leesville. He worked at Leesville Junior High and Leesville High School; he also worked as a mechanic, truck driver and electrician. James was a very talented man.
He is survived by his parents, Jimmy and Loyce Green of New Llano; son,
Nicholas Green of Angleton, Texas; daughter, Ebony Ackless of Elton; brother, Kevin Green of Longview, Texas; aunts, Etta Marie Harris of Houston, Texas and Jo McCowan of Houston, Texas; uncles, McGee Tanksley of Houston, Texas and Floyce Tanksley of
Austin, Texas; two grandchildren; fiancée, Linda Ennis of Fort Worth, Texas; and a host of cousins.
