Graveside services for Roger Dale Chance will be held on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at the Prewitt’s Chapel Cemetery in Hornbeck with Randall Bryan officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of
Leesville.
Roger, 67, of Anacoco passed away at his residence. He was born in Hornbeck but had lived in the Anacoco/Hornbeck area most of his life. He worked as a carpenter and had served in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in
death by his parents Francis and Alda Dowden Chance.
Survivors are: three daughters, Monette Slaughter of Anacoco, Stephanie Chance of Jasper, Texas and Valerie Bell of Florien; three sisters, Gloria Sanders of Hornbeck, Frances Gaskin and
husband Larry of Anacoco and Sharlom Fredrick of Alexandria; and four grandchildren.
