Funeral services for Judie M. West, 83, of Anacoco, will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville with the Rev. Nick Hilton officiating. Burial will follow in the Prewitt’s Chapel Cemetery
in Hornbeck, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 8 a.m. until time of service, Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at the funeral home.
Judie, the daughter of Henry Haywood and
Mable Tynes Mitchell, Sr., was born on March 17, 1927, in Hornbeck. She passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2011 at Rapides Regional Hospital in Alexandria. Mrs. West retired as a parole officer from the Harris County Probation and Parole Office. She
was a member of Prewitt’s Chapel Baptist Church and loved to travel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil E. West; son, Cecil D. West and numerous brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her son, Sonny and Jenelle
West of Mount Belvieu, Texas; daughter-in-law, Barbara L. Parton of Splendora, Texas; special niece, Joan Williams of Anacoco; four grandchildren, Stephanie Burton, Stacey Fazio, Heath West and Brian West; and four great grandchildren.
