Memorial services for Joe E. Phelps will be held at the First Baptist Church in Hornbeck on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 2 p.m.
Joe was born on March 19, 1935 and passed away on December 25, 2010 at his residence in Hornbeck.
He was a life resident of Hornbeck and was a retired school bus driver. He also was a retired sergeant first class, having served in the U.S. Army for 20 years.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Joe and Nancy Phelps, brothers and
sisters.
Survivors are three sisters, Mary King and LeVerne Williams both of Hornbeck and Libby Webb of Baton Rouge and a host of nephews, neices and cousins.
