Helen Foshee Jarrell Fontenot

Helen Foshee Jarrell Fontenot, 71, of Rosepine passed away Friday, December
17, 2010.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, December 19, 2010 at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, December 20, 2010 at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder with Bro.
Robert Foshee and Bro. Gary Pontiff officiating. Interment will follow at Rosepine Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Lee Foshee, M.L. Chevalier, Kendal Scoville, Jerry Wells, Mitch LeBato and Laverne Perkins.
Helen was a life-long
resident Vernon Parish. She graduated from Rosepine High School in 1957 and married Rev. T.J. Jarrell shortly after. They shared 40 plus years together living in the Rosepine and Evans areas. Helen was custodian at Evans High School until her
retirement in 1992. After Rev. Jarrell’s death, she married James Byron Fontenot and resided in Rosepine. Helen was a loyal and devoted wife to both husbands. She touched many lives with her easy friendliness and passion for life. Helen will be
greatly missed by family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, James Byron “Jimmy” Fontenot of Rosepine; two brothers, James Durwood Foshee of ElCentro, Calif. and Keith Foshee of Coventry, R.I.; four sisters, Faye Cockrell of
Rosepine, Winnie Eaves of DeRidder, Doris Hickman of Rosepine and Jo Lynn Lucas of Rosepine; and special niece, Sharon Chevalier of Rosepine.
Helen is preceded in death by her parents, William and Josie Foshee; first husband, Rev. T.J.
Jarrell; two sisters, Bennie Zimmerman and June Hill; and three brothers, Norman, Kenneth and Owen Foshee.
