Funeral services for Gilbert E. “Big T” Gunter, 53, of Leesville, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, December 13, 2010, at Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville with the Rev. J. R. Dowden officiating.
Burial will follow
in Pine Island Cemetery in Pickering, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Sunday, December 12, and then 8 a.m. until service time in the funeral home, Monday Dec
13.
Gilbert, the son of David and Susie Rowzee Gunter, was born on May 19, 1957, in Leesville. He passed away on Friday, December 10, at his residence in Leesville.
Gilbert worked in the sawmill industry and loved to hunt and
fish. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. “Jibby” a lifelong “Swap Shopper” is going to be missed. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Justin Jones.
He is survived by his daughters, Nisey and Mike Burge and
Kasha and Hank Jones, all of DeRidder; brother, Randy and Joyce Gunter; nephew, Randall Gunter, all of Leesville; and grandchildren, Ashley Jones, James “Boo” Burge, Jody Jones, Lexie Jones and Lori Burge.
