Memorial services for John Ambers Killian III will be held at 5 p.m.
Friday, December 3, 2010 ,at Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville.
John Ambers Killian III, 43, of Leesville, was born Nov. 17, 1967 in Frankfort, Germany, and passed away Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010, in Dallas, Texas.
Killian grew up
as an Army brat living throughout the United States, Asia and Europe before his family retired to Leesville. ?After graduating from Leesville High School, Killian joined the Army. During his 12 years active duty, he served in various capacities.
Killian was a veteran of two combat campaigns, Operation Desert Storm (Iraq) and Operation Enduring Freedom (Bosnia). Killian served as the NCOIC of a Tow Missile Unit.?Due to Killian’s talent in the martial arts, he became the Captain of the Martial
Arts Team for the USMSA. He was also the 1993, 1994 and 1997 Black Belt Champion for United States Armed Forces Europe.?After leaving the Army, Killian joined the automotive industry where he worked at several dealerships during his career.
Killian excelled in automotive sales and earned numerous awards and accolades; the prestigious Master Certified Toyota Sales Leader for five years in a row, Ford Master Certified Internet Sales Leader and Dodge Master Associate Sales Leader, to
name just a few.
Killian touched every person he came across, whether a customer, friend or family member. Often the first person to speak, tell a joke or brag about how well his beloved Saints had performed the previous evening, Killian
always had a story to share and always someone to share it with.
Killian was preceded in death by his parents, John Killian II and Shirley Jones Killian.
Killian is survived by his children John Killian IV, Devin and Emily
Killian, all of Newburgh, Ind.; wife, Imee Killian of Atlanta, Ga.; step-daughter, Martina Razo and sister DeAnna Dowden of Leesville.
